Appreciated its fantastic and lovely staff.
We stayed for weekend and would come there again. It was a delightful hotel in a local area, right by hill, the police station, and the new forest. The location was great, at a walking distance from Co-op Food. The food was different with a huge variety of options.

The location is perfect, 1 km from Co-op Food. And its based in a local area short walk to quiet Downton, and Salisbury and Bournemouth. The restaurant serves fresh Thai food.

Friendly staff but room needs an update
The room was comfortable, but it definitely needs some refurbishing. The decor was quite tired and there were cleanliness issues, especially in the bathroom. Breakfast was enjoyable, and I appreciated the accommodating service .

The Bull in Downton had friendly staff. The location was convenient, close to the town center. My room wasnice and neat, with a fluffy bed, made for great sleep. The food stood out. Fresh, hearty meals with generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the homemade pizza, a highlight. The atmosphere felt cozy, especially with the live music on one night. My room was uncomfortably hot , likely because it was above the kitchen. This affected my rest, and some noise during the night from outside didn't help either. The bathroom needed some attention. The fittings looked outdated, and I noticed limescale on the shower screen. Honestly, that detracted from my experience a bit. A pleasant stay with delicious food, but some improvements in room conditions would really enhance the experience.

The pub's food, especially the home-cooked pizza, was a hit with my family. Plus, we loved the live music night! Definitely a great find for value.

Great rooms, but needs better service
We stayed overnight in a ground floor apartment. Really loved the style and how comfy the beds were. The staff was friendly, but the bar wasn't too helpful when I ordered dinner. They didn't have a wine list, and the food took forever. They could clean the outdoor areas better. There were butts everywhere!

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, with free Wi-Fi and a lovely varied breakfast to start your day.
Didn't dislike anything about the hotel.

Staying here was a good surprise compared to my previous experience in downton. The beautiful double room was well-appointed, offering both comfort and style. I particularly loved the pressure of the hot shower and the option for a tasty full english breakfast.
The heating wasn't effective .

Cozy, historic pub atmosphere with a quaint bar area with charming décor. Located conveniently near local attractions.
Parking posed some trouble when returning to find the lot closed due to a local festival without prior notice. The noise from a generator beneath my room disrupted sleep, starting around 7 am. Breakfast options were limited to just toast and coffee with tables that felt sticky from the previous night, leaving a lack of attention to cleanliness. While it had potential, the experience felt unrefined, and some quirks left a desire for improvement.

A Cozy Stay with Room for Improvement
Enjoyed the comfort of the Beautiful Double Room. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The noisy fan made it hard to sleep, and breakfast availability was a letdown. For future guests, ensure to communicate any special requests ahead of time.

Really good Hospitality and Comfort!
We were welcomed like family. The spacious room was very good, and the complimentary breakfast featured very nice poached eggs. Enjoying dinner in the cozy ambiance while being well-treated by the attentive staff was nice. Don't miss out on the nearby local pub recommendations!
